Being an AYSO coach can be a rewarding experience for both yourself and your child. Many parents are hesitant to sign up and coach their child's team. But there are many coach training opportunities available before and through the middle of the season. Please see the schedule for coach training courses to the right.

To become a head coach or an assistant coach you must do the following:

  • Take AYSO's Safe Haven training every two years at
  • Take the CDC Concussion Awareness training every year at
  • For the U6, U8, and U10 divisions take the online coach training for the division at
After you have completed the above prerequisites you can then register for the appropriate coach training course. More information on coach training will be given when courses become available.

If you have any questions or would like to offer your services to be a coach or assistant coach please contact the appropriate Division Coordinator.
